The Morning Prayer- Walter Samuel (Poem)

In
The hem
Of many years,
In
The heap
Of many tears,
In
Sickness
And Peak of fears.

When
The day wave
Farewell to the night,
When
The Aroma of
Darkness fills the night,
When
The night and
Day part forever.
When the
Day flies in
The border of years,
When
The stars twinkle
In the funeral of the day,
When
the trees of forest
dance to the drumsticks of rain.
I had
Shed tears
like a flowing river,
I had
Run like
A wounded deer,
I had
toil upon earth
like a missing star.
But show
Me my path
lord i a beamless sun,
Not strong
But worthless
like a rotten wood.
Before
Beautiful sleeps
Close my dried eyeballs.
C. Walter Samuel.
